What a cover band gives that a DJ can't
A live cover band brings something a DJ structurally cannot reproduce: the presence of people making music in the same space as your guests. The energy a band generates when the drummer and bassist lock into the groove, when the singer addresses the room, when a solo breaks loose — that's physically felt. Not through speakers, but through vibrations in the air.

A DJ has — literally — access to every record ever released. Want a seamless transition from a Belgian classic to an EDM hit to an 80s classic? A DJ does it flawlessly. A cover band can never match that repertoire, however good they are.

The combination: the best of both
More than half of our wedding clients ultimately choose a combination. The most popular package: a cover band plays two 45-minute sets at the peak of the evening, with DJ Stecks as warm-up and closer. You pay for both, but the total budget stays reasonable and the evening has maximum variety.
For reference in the wider market: a full five- to six-piece cover band typically costs €2,500–€6,000 in Belgium and the Netherlands, a DJ €600–€1,500.
